Bitwarden Nextcloud

The Nextcloud VM maintainer went with Bitwarden and I think it is a nice selfhosted alternative with apps for all operating systems and extensions for all browsers. There is even a CLI tool. Ask questionsSMTP not working, where are the logs?

Which is the best alternative to bitwardenrs? Based on common mentions it is: Pass-import, Keepassxc, Bitwarden/Server, Bitwarden/Desktop or Nextcloud/Docker. Hi

i have bitwarden running within docker, it has been deployed by the nextcloud vm by Daniel Hansson @enoch85.

SMTP doesn't work, I have configured the settings like this:

I use proxmox as smarthost which accepts mails on port 26 by default as 'trusted' and thus unfiltered by the antispam engine.nextcloud which runs on the same server (not in the same docker container of course) runs fine, can send mails totally fine.i can also telnet from the server to the smarthost and send mails.

where can I find the logs to get any clue why sending mails is not working from bitwarden? i can't find any /etc/bitwarden/logs directory, if it is redirected to ~/bwdata/logs, then there is no clue about the mailing error, as I have digged through every single log file which is saved there.

according to the proxmox logs, no mail arrives at the mail gateway so no mail seems to leave the bitwarden installation.

could there be some docker rule prohibiting communications on port 26?

how can i debug this?

Bitwarden Nextcloud For Mac

thanks!

bitwarden/server

Hey folks,

I (absolute self-hosting-rookie) was trying to install a nextcloud server next to my bitwarden server on the same debian 9.0 machine.

my bitwarden service is up and running perfectly fine.

did install nextcloud via snap. worked.

tried to configure apache2. figured out there is nothing to install because apache is not yet installed.

so i tried to install apache2, but leaving me with the following error:

i think it is due to docker already listening on port 80 (for bitwarden server).

now i am not sure how to make it work…

any suggestions?

kind regards!

edit - 30.10.2018, 23:23 :

I am currently trying it with alternate ports, as specified in this thread:

so I changed ports in

Bitwarden

and

from 80 to 8001 and from 443 to 44301

Nextcloud Passwords App

furthermore, following the configuration in this guide: https://github.com/nextcloud/nextcloud-snap

but now I will probably have the problem of let’s encrypt not verifying ownership…

any further ideas? i never set up a proxy in my life…

I found a link that explains how to make nextcloud listen on different ports and how to setup the according reverse proxy:
